Need a break? On a business trip and need somewhere to stay? Worried about where to charge your EV? Don’t fret!
We’ve got you covered with a list of some of our favourite EV friendly hotels from all over the country.
Here are our top 10! (not in order)
1. The Lensbury, Teddington
Want to stay in London but can’t quite hack the hustle and bustle of the city? This is your perfect stay. Travel to the city centre is not far at all with Waterloo very close by. The Lensbury has many amenities including a swimming pool and a gym.
However, if you’re not that fussed about visiting busy tourist sites in the centre of London, try all the local pubs in the area or visit one of many pristine parks close by. You’ve got: Richmond Park, Hampton Court, Bushy Park and Marble Hill, all in a very close proximity, to name a few.
2. The White Swan, Stratford-Upon-Avon
This super cosy hotel is based in the heart of Stratford where you won’t be short of things to see and do. Stratford is renowned for the home of literature’s William Shakespeare, so why not visit the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Take a cruise down a canal, or visit the Butterfly Museum.
3. Barnsdale Lodge Hotel, Oakham
Oakham is a pretty, traditional English market town, bustling with activity. Go back in time and visit Oakham Castle (which is free!) and get to know Rutland’s rich history. The museum has artifacts from the 6th century and has unusual Crime and Punishment exhibitions.
4. Northcote Manor Hotel, Burrington, Devon
Ok, it’s probably best just to let the Telegraph explain this one as they’ve put it so nicely… Northcote Manor is “a quintessentially British escape to the countryside with formal fine-dining and tranquil gardens. This 18th-century manor house steeped in history is a beautiful spot to explore the flora and fauna of the Devonshire woodlands or share a traditional afternoon cream tea on the lawn.”
5. The Old Swan and Minister Mill, Witney
Located by the River Windrush and just 9 miles from Cotswold Wildlife Park, who wouldn’t want to stay in this beautiful little cottage. This restored 15th century Inn is the perfect escape for any season. We love the cosiness of the pub with flagstone floors and a fireplace. Plus, there's a revamped gym and full-service spa. Amenities also include bike rentals, tennis and lawn games.
6. The Headland Hotel, Newquay
This hotel is 115 years old and noticeable for its fine terracotta. Inside the reception there’s a “tide-clock” that keeps guests up to date with the state of the sea. Take a stroll along Fistral Beach to watch surfers rip up the waves. This is definitely a hotel with views.
7. Clumber Park Hotel, Nottingham
Let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to be surrounded by picturesque countrysides and have access to a luxury spa? This hotel is very close to Sherwood Forest, home to Robin Hood. If you're feeling brave enough, check out Hawks of Steele and get close to some bird of prey.
