We're pleased to announce that we are working with the global real estate services provider Savills.

This is in order to encourage electric vehicle (EV) charging across its managed retail parks and shopping centres in the United Kingdom.

Why does Savills recognise the importance of the EV industry?

According to The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, UK sales of electric plug-in and electric-hybrid vehicles in 2017 were up 27.5% compared to the previous year (year-to-date).

As the number of EV drivers continues to grow, Savills recognises the importance of providing the required charging facilities at retail parks and shopping centres it manages across the UK.

Why is Savills looking to encourage EV charging?

Savills recognises the positive part EV infrastructure will play in attracting new visitors to its client’s retail locations.

Encouraging sustainable practices is a central part of its strategy to improve the overall visitor experience at the out-of-town retail parks and shopping centres it manages.

As the emerging EV market continues to build momentum, not only is it important to Savills that its client’s retail destinations are accessible, but that they also adapt to the latest innovations supporting sustainable travel.
