We’re very excited to have won 4 awards in May from The Evening Standard, The Europas and Business Green Leaders.
Electric vehicles are at the forefront of innovation and sustainable transport. Each award reaffirms us that we’re heading in the right direction and accelerating towards our vision of a world where travel doesn’t damage the earth.
The Evening Standard’s: ‘Tech Start-Up of the Year’
We were at the awards alongside some inspiring businesses like Facebook, Costa, Asos and Aviva. We are very proud to have been nominated alongside disruptors like Monzo and Citymapper. For us, winning the award highlights the growing level of interest people have in the environment, electric vehicles as a disruptive form of transport and the need for change. The judges said: “It’s going to change the way you live your life”.
The Europas: ‘Hottest GreenTech Startup of the Year’
The Europas set out to determine the ‘hottest’ European startups across a wide range of categories. They’re considered to be “genuine, editorially driven, independent awards judged by the community [itself]” as more than 10,000 members of the public voted and 30 judges picked the top tech startups in Europe.
Other companies that took home awards included Monzo and SkyScanner.
The Business Green Leaders Awards: ‘Fast Track Company of The Year’ and ‘Small Business of The Year’.
Christiana Figueres, former UN climate chief and key architect of the Paris Agreement, kicked off the evening with a speech on climate change and a certain US president.
We were attending alongside household names like Ikea, H&M, Barcardi, The Crown Estate and HSBC. Even the mayor of London Sadiq Khan was recognised for his efforts on reducing air pollution, receiving the 'Politician of the Year' award.
