On the 21st of June, we’re supporting Clean Air Day by making our 2,000-strong public charging network entirely free for all EV drivers.
Why support Clean Air Day?
We fundamentally believe that travel shouldn't damage the earth. So, we're not just set on promoting the benefits of electric vehicles (EVs) for climate change, but for air quality too!
Plus, our last Earth Day celebration went down very well with over 15,000 electric miles being powered! Reckon we can top this?
How does it work?
- You won’t notice any difference in your charge!
- We’ll be reimbursing your charge in the form of credit the following day (this may take up to three working days to process) for any charge carried out on our Pod Point Network. It’s that simple.

The current state of air pollution in the UK
Recent research published by the Universities of Oxford & Bath signified that air pollution from “cars and vans racks up health bills of nearly £6bn every year in the UK”.
Unsurprisingly, costs to the NHS & society were highest in cities and diesel cars were the worst offenders in terms of harmful pollutants. Therefore, scientists concluded the health cost of an average car in inner London was almost £8000, and diesel cars were nearly £16,000.
The emissions from poor air quality are estimated to be linked to 1/13 lung cancer cases and cause around 40,00 early deaths a year in the UK.

Drivers that use the Pod Point Network on 21st June will be reimbursed within three working days in the form of a credit to their Pod Point account.
