Overview

Hyundai have found themselves with some of the most compelling (and efficient) BEVs on the market with the highly efficient KONA and IONIQ, but the IONIQ 5 - designed from the ground up to be a BEV SUV - sees the Korean manufacturer keeping what it's learned and taking things to a new level, fully embracing the myriad advantages electrification offers to OEMs. So we get a genuinely pretty SUV (truly a rarity) that somehow looks more compact than it is, has truly substantial range, 220kW DC charging to put it back in quickly on a long trip, and a truly awesome, futuristic interior. All starting <£37k. We're truly excited by this amazing family car.

This guide is based on the Standard Range 2WD.
