Lexus UX 300e (2021)

Overview

Toyota's campaign against plugging in has been notorious. Seeing as they will shortly have to plug in, we've waited to see how they will start to turn the tables. The answer? By releasing their first BEV via their luxury brand - the Lexus UX 300e. And it's really a decent first effort at a BEV! The range is pretty fair, the performance is pretty good, for a crossover, and it's decent looking. Inside you get a Lexus level of premium quality. We'd like a touch more range and probably would have gone with 100kW CCS charging, rather than 50kW CHAdeMO, but these are minor quibbles. Hopefully a sign of a bright new dawn from the Japanese monolith!

Charging time for a Lexus UX 300e

The table below shows the estimated time to charge your UX 300e from empty to full. For rapid charging, we show the time to charge from 20% - 80%, as charging tends to slow outside this range to protect the battery.

* Based on Pod Point estimates, charging time can differ based on the ambient temperature, the state of the battery (e.g. empty or half full) and variation in charging rate. Max charging rate may also be limited by the vehicle.
** Range per hour is the number of miles you can expect to get from an hour of charging at the relevant rate.

You can charge your Lexus UX with a Type 2 connector at home, work or at a public charging point. There is also a CHAdeMO connector for rapid charging.
