Electric vehicle pioneer Renault is back with the Captur e-Tech Plug-in Hybrid, the brand’s first PHEV model. Whilst it may be disappointing given their all-electric options in the past, it actually makes sense as it gives Renault buyers more options across their range. It boasts their high-tech, F1-inspired e-Tech hybrid system which combines a 1.6-litre petrol engine with two electric motors and a six-speed auto gearbox. Alongside this is a 9.8kWh battery with a WLTP-approved 31 miles of electric range and a favourable Benefit-in-Kind tax rate of just 10%.
