Subaru Solterra (2022)

Overview

Japanese car makers Subaru have finally entered the fully-electric arena with the striking Solterra SUV. It’s the second car to come from their EV development partnership with Toyota, sharing much of its tech and trimmings (but thankfully not naming conventions) with the bZ4X. Like its twin, the Solterra has a 71.4kWh battery and a similar driving range of around 289 miles. Internally, they’re pretty similar too. But this being Subaru, the Solterra features an X-Mode AWD setting as standard for rougher roads. Welcome to the fully-electric club Subaru! This guide is based on the Subaru Solterra Limited model.

Charging time for a Subaru Solterra

The table below shows the estimated time to charge your Solterra from empty to full. For rapid charging, we show the time to charge from 20% - 80%, as charging tends to slow outside this range to protect the battery.
