A phenomenal success from its launch event in 2016 to its emergence since 2017, the Tesla Model 3 takes much of the functionality of the Model S and makes it affordable to a great deal more wallets. That said, early variants are at the higher end in terms of price, but also range and performance ("Track Mode" on the Performance model is particular highlight), with the entry level Model 3 due later on. This is the car that Tesla believe will take electric motoring to mass market - we think they're right. Available in the UK from 2019.

Connector type and charging rates
