Can I integrate a Pod Point with my solar panels?

Yes. Our Pod Point Solo 3S chargers come with solar integration, meaning you can charge your vehicle with solar power or a mixture of solar and grid energy. Simply activate solar charging mode and set your preferences.
Solar mode - allows you to charge purely using excess solar energy - ideal for very sunny days where lot of solar energy is generated.
Solar and grid mode - allows you to use excess solar energy, topped up with a small amount of energy from the National Grid - ideal for cloudier days when you have excess solar energy you want to use up but you need some energy from the grid (EVs require a minimum of 1.4kW to begin charging).

Can my Pod Point integrate with my other smart home tech?

Pod Point chargers don't integrate with wider home smart tech such as smart speakers or applicances but you can control your Pod Point remotely using our app. Simply download the Pod Point app and connect your charger to your home Wi-Fi and you'll be able to set smart charging schedules, securely lock your charger, pick your preferred charging mode, and much more.

Does Pod Point work with Octopus Energy?

Pod Point chargers are compatible with every energy supplier and all single and two rate energy tariffs. Our chargers are compatible with Octopus tariffs such as 'Octopus Go' but not smart tariff such as 'Intelligent octopus Go' and 'Intelligent Drive Pack'.

Can I have an EV charger without off-street parking?

If you don't have a driveway, you can still have an EV by making use of our extensive UK network of public and workplace chargers. There are also options available with our partners such as Kerbocharge who make owning an EV charger with on-street parking easier than ever.

How long does it take to install a Pod Point home charger?

A standard installation can be completed in as little as 2 hours. For non-standard installation, our team will advise you on what to expect.
