Overview

Genesis received a lukewarm reception when it landed on UK shores for only offering diesel and petrol models. Now the luxury offshoot of Hyundai is back with its first EV, the GV60. It’s a bold choice for the relatively unknown brand, given the premium SUV segment is one of the most competitive in the EV market. But being built on the same platform as the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 means it has a lot to offer, with plenty of range, style, and tech. With plans to sell only electric cars by 2030, only time will tell if Genesis and the GV60 become a mainstay of the UK EV market. This guide is based on the 2WD version of the GV60.

* This metric estimates the environmental impact of driving your electric vehicle based on how the electricity that powers your car is generated. We take the average carbon intensity across the UK grid measured throughout 2021 to calculate the expected grams of CO2 emitted per 1 km driven. The actual number will vary by region, when you charge (e.g. carbon intensity is usually lower overnight period) and whether your electricity comes from more renewable sources than the average.
